Permalinks working

okay! after a momentary blip while I repaired some structural damage, the permalinks are working. Very convenient, since now i can just say “spidermuffinart.com/gallery/” instead of a cryptic series of numbers. Less headaches that way.

Hey! I got error pages working! Isn’t that rad? Next up – more memoirs. It’s been a while, right?

Gallery Rigged

the gallery is set up now. Still want to do some database stuff so that I can have information about each image in the overlay, but that can wait. For now, I’m content to enjoy some 5×5 goodness. I’m thinking I might rig the thumbnails to pull from a sub directory of the gallery, now that I’m thinking about it. Speaking of which, I need to pick out 3 images, to finish that block. (either that, or figure out some kind of static image to put as a place-holder).

next on the list – updating a few images. namely the comic navigation buttons and the ‘close’ button in the gallery. I think I’ll be able to take a break from web design and actually do some ART at that point! wouldn’t that be nice?

Mostly Functional

Well things seem to be coming together in the layout department. The next biggest step will be getting the gallery to function properly. I expect to spend several days tinkering with it before I find it acceptable.

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, I loaded the page with muffins. I’m thinking there might not be enough spiders, though…. not sure what to do about that. perhaps something nefarious. I worry that I might be going too over the top, though… Perhaps I’ll alternate.

Also, I want to figure out if i can have the post date displayed on each of these entries… hmm.

I’m working on making a header logo. I made the one above, but I want to incorporate a muffin somewhere.

memoirs comic is centered, but muffins isn’t.
